Marina Del Rey SUP Paddle

The Marina Del Rey SUP paddle starts at Mother’s Beach & navigates through the marina out to the ocean where it turns around. This paddle is great for local beginner paddlers who want to work out & practice going on longer paddles. My favorite thing about this paddle is that it shows a different side […]

Paddling in Pelican Cove in Los Angeles, California

The Pelican Cove SUP paddle in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA starts in Pelican Cove & goes down past Long Point & Terranea Beach to Vanderlip Park Beach. This paddle is one of my favorites since it can have some of the clearest waters I’ve ever paddled in Southern California. Also, on clear days you can […]

Point Dume Paddle Logo Photo

This paddle starts at Westward Beach/Point Dume State Beach at the southernmost tip of Zuma Beach, then goes around Point Dume by Pirate’s Cove Beach, and then dumps into the hidden gem of private beaches that Malibu tucks away in Dume cove. Instagram post 2175399471194546687_6912548747 Been deep into the pages of 438 Days — a novel about a fisherman who survived in the middle of the pacific relying on the wind and tides to bring sustenance. With only land-seeking birds and marine creatures to eat, he would find everything from plastic bottle caps to poisonous sea snakes inside his new food sources. Ironically, finding a line and sinker would have proved to be extremely useful for the character in this novel. I’m happy to remove it from the ocean, really makes you think about the byproducts of our consumption which end up in the sea.
