I am a SUP enthusiast & designer.
I met my first SUP at my first design job out of college at a paddle board company. On one of the promotional trips, we paddled on the Maine Island Trail for several nights. I was hooked. It combined the things I loved most, camping/backpacking and SUPing into a new form of adventure.
When I began looking for new overnight adventures out in Southern California, the data available seemed limited and scattered. I did some overnights on Catalina Island, did paddle tours in New Hampshire for awhile, and began planning trips away from SoCal for overnight SUP trips with some buddies. But, I knew that there had to be a better way to get into the water close to where I live. Thus, the idea of SUP Pacific was born to have a website specific for discovering new paddling trails and SUP adventures. Whether its avoiding parking tickets, explaining overnight gear, or providing water trail assistance, this site strives to make it easier for people to get out on the water and enjoy nature’s wet side.
